My Neighbour Totoro

 Totoro nails. Decided to try out using a black marker since I wanted a bit more detail. Liked the precision of it, but when I put on the top coat it smudged a bit. May try it again and let them dry for longer and see if there's any improvement. So all three colours of totoro are on the nails. The little soot fellows are in the middle. On the right thumb is the catbus running underneath a moon (with totoros). Some totoro models as the background :)

FC Bayern 2014/15

 For the start of the new season, new Bayern nails. Retro crest on the thumbs, and then the new kits. Home kit on the index fingers, away on the middle, Champion's League kit on the ring, and Neuer's CL kit on the pinkies. My home kit is all ready to go this season but I wouldn't say no to picking up a 3rd kit as well. 

Poyopoyo

 Poyo nails. If you're a cat lover and have not yet seen it I would highly recommend. Did these in August after watching all the episodes in under a week (probably helps they're 3 minutes long). So these are just a few moments from the show, like Poyo and Kuro-chan, Poyo in the cement, Poyo eating nori, and Super Poyo.

World Cup 2014 Knockouts

Nails for the knockout rounds. Jersey colours on the thumbs, index, and middle fingers. Lahm 16 on the ring fingers, and German flag colours on the pinkies. I do not have mini eagle gems (if they exist I definitely should get them), so did hearts as the crest. Seemed fitting.

World Cup 2014

 In just under two weeks I'll be heading to Europe (and will be hopefully watching Germany win the World Cup while in Munich). These are my group stages nails. The Eagle on the right hand with stars, and Deutschland 2014 with German flag colours on the left. On the thumbs, 16 (Lahm) done in the colours of the 2014 kit.

I'll have to do knock out round nails before I leave and am currently thinking about possible ideas.

Dr. Who

 Dr. Who nails. TARDISes on the fingers and Daleks on the thumbs. Used nail jewels for some depth on the Daleks. I don't usually use the add ons but I think (despite going a bit askew as they dried - read, I did things before they were 100% dry) this is preferable to a flat design. In the future I will try more complex TARDISes and Daleks but this was an exploratory mission and I am fairly well pleased. 

Olympics & Hello Kitty

Did the thumbs up for the Olympics in Russia (swept curling and hockey - woo!). And by request of one of my co-workers little Hello Kitty's on the fingers.

Books, books, books

 Just some simple book nails using the newspaper nail technique again. And since I just decided to wing it, it didn't turn out as well as I would've hoped, but it is still a massive improvement over plain colour nails. 

A few closed books, the majority open. 

Christmas 2013

 For Christmas I did Muppet Christmas Carol nails. On the left hand was the ghost of Christmas Present, Fozzi, Sam, a skating penguin (because they were a fantastic part of the movie) and a bit of holly.

On the right hand was Kermit, Gonzo as Mr. Dickens, Tiny Tim, Rizzo as himself, and some chains (channelling Marley and Marley, woooooo).
